Packing your I DEUX
With the holidays right around the corner, you may be wondering how best to pack your I DEUX if needing to travel for the festivities. Even if you’re a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, you should always have at least one shirt with a collar in your packing list. So instead of packing a heavy travel iron, or never hearing the end of it from grandma that you look like a slob, this article will show you how to pack your I DEUX (or any dress shirt) without wrinkling it. Get ready to look sharp as hell, you trendy nomad, you. Packing a dress shirt is about to get a lot easier.
- Button the shirt up to the top button. This will ensure a tight, wrinkle-free fold.
- Lay it facedown on a flat, hard surface.
- Spread it out, sleeves to the side.
- Fold sleeves inward to the middle of the back (horizontal fold). The cuffs should cross over the middle of the back; repeat on the other side.
- PRO TIP: If you want to keep your dress shirt extra wrinkle free, put a dryer sheet here; it provides “interstitial suspension” so the fabric won’t bunch up once you finish folding it (yeah, physics is involved) also, it makes your bag smell great!
- Fold in each side about 3 inches towards the middle of the shirt; if you’re doing it right, you’ll have a little “V” pattern at the top of the back of your shirt.
- Fold in half, from the bottom up once. Fold in half again for a tighter fold (or if you really need the space).
- Flip folded shirt over and pack.
- Celebrate!
And that's it! Happy holidays and safe travels from all of us at I DEUX!
